Dismantling the air filter: to access the air filter, unscrew the nut holding
the filter housing, remove it and pull out the filter. Rinse the filter in
purified kerosene or gasoline. Dry the sponge filter completely before
reassembly, then soak it in a little fresh engine oil. Squeeze excess oil out
of the filter before installing it in the machine.
IMPORTANT: do not operate unit without the air filter!
k) Check the condition of the spark plug regularly - clean it if dirty, and check
the electrode gap before reassembly and adjust if necessary.
To access the spark plug, first remove the ignition cable pipe from the
spark plug. Then the spark plug can be unscrewed. IMPORTANT: it is
advised to remove the spark plug when the engine is cold or at least
cooled down.
