If the filter is dry, soak the clean filter completely in fresh engine oil and
then squeeze out the excess oil. Install the soaked filter back into the
housing in the reverse order of removal.
3.3.2 Starting the engine
a) Set the fuel valve to the open position, i.e. with the lever in the ON
position (shifted to the end in accordance with the arrow under the
pictogram of the fuel dispenser)
b) Set the choke valve to the closed position - its lever is pushed to the end
in accordance with the arrow under the choke pictogram. When starting a
warm engine, the choke lever should be in the open position - set as far as
possible in the direction opposite to the arrow under the pictogram.
c) Turn the ignition switch on the control panel to the "ON" position, than
grasp the recoil starter handle and slowly pull away from the unit until
you feel resistance, then pull with a firm motion, keeping the recoil
handle in your hand at all times even as it returns to the starting position.
Repeat this motion until the engine starts.
d) [Optional – only chosen models] Push the START button on the electric
starter panel and keep it pushed till the engine fires up. If the engine does
not fire up after few seconds cranking please let of the START button and
repeat this starting procedure.
