WARNING Read all safety warnings, instructions,
illustrations and specifi cations provided with this power
tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in
electric shock, fi re and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
VIBRATING PLATE SAFETY WARNINGS
The handling of the machine needs a well trained and competent
operator.
Operators of this machine must ensure that persons in the
working area keep a minimum distance of 2 metres from the
running machine.
In areas with special hazards (e.g. in tunnels, contaminated
areas) the special safety instructions and local regulations must
be observed.
The machine shall be only brought into service where the
machine is applicable to the situation on the construction site,
especially the stability, condition of surface, width of the lane and
the relation between the width of the compact plate and e.g. the
height of the edges and/or kerbstones and/or depth of ditches
has to be taken into consideration.
The operator must determine if there are any special hazards,
such as use in toxic ambient atmospheres or use in restricted
subsoil conditions. In this case, special precautions must be
taken to eliminate or reduce the hazard.
Always set up and park on a flat, level surface.
Never use machine when belt guard is not installed.
Do not tilt, roll, slide or crash the machine. Stay above the
machine when on a sloped surface. Pay close attention to side
walls during trench applications. Unstable walls may collapse
due to vibration from the machine.
The machine must not be operated in the following conditions:
In heavy rain on sloping surfaces. Danger of slipping!
In an explosive vicinity. Explosion hazard!
In the vicinity of a naked fl ame. Fire hazard!
When operating the machine, take care not to damage any gas,
water or electric lines or pipes.
WARNING!
The vibration and noise emission level given in this information sheet has been measured in accordance with a standardized test
given in EN 500-4 and may be used to compare one tool with another. It may be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
The declared vibration emission level represents the main applications of the tool. However if the tool is used for diff erent applications,
with diff erent accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration emission may diff er. This may signifi cantly increase the exposure level
over the total working period.
An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also take into account the times when the tool is switched off or when it is
running but not actually doing the job. This may signifi cantly reduce the exposure level over the total working period.
Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from the eff ects of vibration and/or noise such as: maintain the tool and the
accessories, keep the hands warm, organization of work patterns.
