Safety shut-off
Sensor controls are covered
Your cooktop will turn off automatically
if one or several of the sensor controls
remain covered for longer than 10sec-
onds; for example, by finger contact,
food boiling over, or an object.
flashes briefly above the sensor
control and a tone will sound.

the object and/or cleaned the soiling
and the cooktop will be ready to use
again.
Excessive operating time
The safety shut-off mechanism is trig-
gered automatically if a cooking zone is
heated for an unusually long period of
time. This time depends on the power
level selected. If the time has been ex-
ceeded, the cooking zone switches to
power level1. If you turn the cooking
zone off and on again, it will be ready
for operation again.
You can adjust the safety shut-off by
changing the safety setting (see “Cus-
tomizing settings”).
