Problem Possible cause and solution
There are rust stains on
the cutlery.
The affected items are not corrosion resistant.
No remedy.
Purchase cutlery which is dishwasher-safe.
A program was not run after reactivation salt was
added. Traces of salt have got into the normal wash
cycle.
Immediately after filling the salt reservoir and each
time you remove the salt reservoir cap, run the Rinse
salt program without wash items in the dishwasher
to dissolve and remove any traces of salt from the
wash cabinet.
The salt reservoir cap has not been screwed on cor-
rectly.
Replace it, making sure that it screws back on cor-
rectly.
