Installation notes
- A minimum distance of 27 ⁹/₁₆"
(700mm) and a maximum distance of
51 ³/₁₆" (1,300mm) is recommended
between the cooktop and the
ventilation hood.
Please be aware that if positioned too
high, vapor extraction will be
inefficient.
- To achieve optimum vapor extraction,
the ventilation hood must be centered
over the cooktop, not to the side or
behind it.
- If the ventilation hood is being
installed in a suspended ceiling, the
installation surface all around the
ventilation hood must be at least 12"
(300mm) larger than the ventilation
hood itself.
- As far as possible, the cooktop should
be narrower than the ventilation hood.
At a maximum, the cooktop should be
the same width.
- The ventilation hood must also be
freely accessible and located such
that it can be dismantled in the event
of future service requirements. This
should be taken into consideration
when planning the position of
cupboards, shelves, ceilings, or
decorative features in the vicinity of
the ventilation hood.
- The ventilation hood is fastened in the
cut-out using clamps. A solid
installation surface, e.g., made of
wood, is required. Make sure that the
structure can support the load.
Around the clamps, components such
as supports and ducting must be at
least 1" (25mm) from the cut-out.
- If you install the appliance in a place
that is used on a daily basis, e.g., in a
cabinet, the top of the appliance must
not be accessible. Close the
installation space in the cabinet, e.g.,
with additional walls and shelves.
Plug&Play mode
- The air must be able to circulate freely
into the ceiling. Components in the
ceiling must be at least 12" (300mm)
away from the exhaust ducting.
- Ensure sufficient ventilation of the
ceiling area, e.g., through exhaust
grilles, gaps, or shadow gaps. The
cross-section of the openings must be
at least 600cm² in total.
- The ceiling and adjacent walls that
come into contact with the exhaust air
must not exceed a heat transfer
coefficient of 0.5W/(m²K).
- The electronic for vapor extraction
must be switched to Plug&Play mode;
