Before installation
Before installation, it is important
to read the information contained in
this chapter and in the “IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS” chapter.
Information is subject to change. Please
refer to our website to obtain the most
current product specification, technical
& warranty information.
Removing the protective film
The housing components are covered
by a protective film to prevent them
from damage during transport.
Please remove this film before
installing the housing components. It
can be peeled off easily without any
additional tools.
Coating the panel
The visible surfaces of the edge
extraction panel can be coated for
decoration.
The surfaces can be laminated,
varnished, or painted.
When selecting the coating, keep in
mind that the panel is exposed to heat,
moisture, and soiling from the rising
vapors.
Coatings are not recommended when
the panel is installed over a gas cooktop
due to the high temperatures involved.
Have specialists carry out the coating
process.
Clean the panel at regular intervals.
Follow the cleaning instructions
provided by the manufacturer of the
coating used.
Miele does not guarantee the durability
of the coating.
Installation materials
1vent collar
for exhaust ducting 6" (150mm)
1non-return flap
for installing into the exhaust vent on
the motor (not needed for recirculation
mode).
2 lids
8rivets
for securing the lids.
