6.6. Power Supply
CAUTION!
Risk of electrical shock!
There are live components inside this AC adapter. In the event of
an unintentional short circuit of this AC adapter, there is a risk of
electrical shock or fire!
Do not open the housing of the AC adapter.
Do not cover the mains adapter.
Never touch the mains adapter with wet hands.
• To disconnect the notebook (mains adapter) from the power
supply, remove the mains plug (Schuko plug) from the power
socket. Do not pull on the cable to avoid damage. As long as
the power adapter is connected to the mains, it will always
consume a small amount of power.
• Before touching the mains adapter, you must wait for an
appropriate amount of time to allow it to cool down.
• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed and easily
accessible socket that is close to where you are using the
appliance. The local mains voltage must correspond to the
technical specifications for the appliance. If you are not sure
about the power supply at the set-up location, please ask
your electricity supplier.
• Only use this notebook and accompanying AC adapter with
each other.
• For extra safety, we recommend using an overvoltage
protection device (surge protector) to prevent your notebook
from sustaining damage as a result of power surges or
lightning strikes.
• The only devices which may be connected to the device
are those which meet the requirements defined in the
safety standard for audio, video or information technology
equipment.
