Connecting an External Monitor
If you want the benefits of a larger display screen with higher resolution, you can connect
an external CRT monitor or LCD monitor to your computer. Follow this procedure to
connect an external monitor:
1. Shut down your notebook.
2. Plug the monitor’s signal connector to the computer’s DVI-I / HDMI connector.

Your computer allows you to only use either DVI-I or HDMI display one at a
time, not simultaneously.
3. Connect the external monitor to the electrical socket and power it up.
4. Start your notebook.
5. Press the key combination Fn + F5.
