Reset time:
The reset time represents the I-component of a control. This leads to an integral approach of the
actual value to the setpoint. A short reset time means a strong I component.
A short reset time causes the control value to quickly approach the control value set according to
the proportional range. A long reset time, on the other hand, causes a slow approach to this value.
The following figure illustrates the interrelationships of PI control:
