►►►6. SWITCHING ON AND OFF
WARNING: You are required to read, understand and follow the
''INFORMATION ON SAFETY'' before starting the heater in order to
use it correctly and avoid risks.
IMPORTANT: In order to use the heater, the battery-operated wire-
less remote control (ACCESSORY) must be purchased.
►►6.1. SWITCH-ON
►6.1.1. Supply power and set the main power switch to the 'I/ON' position.
►6.1.2. To operate the heater, the turn-on procedure must be set on the
battery-operated wireless remote control (ACCESSORY).
A series of sensors check that the heater is operating correctly and stops the
appliance in the event of a serious fault.
A lack of ventilation activates the safety device which stops all heater func-
tions when the internal temperature of the device exceeds 90°C. The heater
will not resume operation automatically, this must be performed manually.
PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
→1. Wait for the heater to cool down completely.
→2. Set the main power switch to the ”0/OFF” position.
→3. Disconnect the heater from the electrical power supply.
→4. Eliminate the possible cause of the heater block (e.g. obstructed air
vent, impaired air supply, etc.).
→5. Firmly press the “RESET” button located on the top of the heater.
→6. Reconnect the heater to the power supply.
→7. Set the main power switch to the “I/ON” position.
→8. Switch the heater from the battery-operated wireless remote control
(ACCESSORY) back on to full power and check for about an hour that
the device does not lock up again.
→9. If, after a few attempts to resume operation, the heater does not work,
contact the support centre.
►►6.2. SHUTDOWN (FOR A SHORT PERIOD)
►6.2.1. To shut down the heater, the shutdown procedure must be set on
the battery-operated wireless remote control (ACCESSORY).
►►6.3. DECOMMISSIONING (LONG-TERM)
►6.3.1. To shut down the heater, the shutdown procedure must be set on
the battery-operated wireless remote control (ACCESSORY).
►6.3.2. Set the main power switch to the “0/OFF” position.
►6.3.3. Disconnect the heater from the electrical power supply.
NOTE: AVOID DISCONNECTING THE HEATER FROM THE ELECTRICAL
POWER SUPPLY BEFORE THE FAN HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED, IN
ORDER TO AVOID SERIOUS DAMAGE.
►►►7. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Any maintenance or cleaning work should only be carried out after the
heater has been switched o󰀨, is cold and disconnected from the power sup-
ply. Dust that may accumulate in the heater can restrict heat exchange and
thus pose a risk of re and overheating. It is essential to keep the heater in
good working order by cleaning it regularly with compressed air and a soft,
solvent-free cloth.
Always disconnect the heater from the mains when not in use for a long
period.
When the heater is used again, check the condition of the power supply
cable; if in doubt regarding its state, contact the support centre.
In any case, have the service centre check the correct functioning of the
heater at least once a year and/or as needed.
