Safety warnings
Your safety is important to us. Please read this information before using your hob.
• The appliance must not be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or who lack experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions. Children
must be supervised and must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried
out by unsupervised children.
• WARNING: The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use.
• Take care not to touch the heating elements.
• Children under the age of 8 should be kept out of the way if they are not supervised at all times.
• Warning: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the risk of electric shock. For glass- ceramic
cooktops - or cooktops made of similar materials that protect live parts - we recommend that you switch off the
appliance.
• Warning: It is forbidden to use a steam cleaner.
• That the appliance is not intended for use with an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
• Risk of fire: do not store any objects on the cooking surfaces.
• CAUTION: The cooking process must be monitored. A short cooking process must be constantly monitored.
• WARNING: Unattended cooking on a hob with grease or oil can be dangerous and cause a fire.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid any danger.
• Never try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the appliance and cover the flame, for example with a lid or
fire blanket.
• WARNING: Only use hob guards designed by the manufacturer of the cooking appliance or indicated by the
appliance manufacturer in the operating instructions as being suitable, or hob guards incorporated into the
appliance. The use of inappropriate guards may cause accidents.
• The power cord is not accessible after installation.
• For installation, please read the section on installation.
