8.2 Defrosting the appliance
WARNING
Appliance incorrectly defrosted!
Injuries and damage.

Do not use mechanical devices or other means to
accelerate the defrosting process, other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
u
Do not use any electrical heating or steam cleaning
equipment, naked flames or defrosting sprays.
u
Do not remove ice with sharp objects.
To maintain the functionality of the appliance, we
recommend defrosting it when there is a high buildup
of ice. Icing in the interior is determined by the location
(e.g. high humidity), settings on the appliance and
incorrect user behavior.
If automatic defrost is not sufficient, defrost the appli‐
ance manually:

Switch off appliance. (see 6.2.2 Switching appliance
on and off )
u
Disconnect power plug.
u
Store refrigerated items elsewhere.
u
Leave the appliance door open during defrosting
process.
u
Absorb any remaining defrost water with a cloth and
clean the appliance.
8.3 Cleaning the appliance
8.3.1 Preparing

Short-circuit hazard due to live parts!
Electric shock or damage to the electronics.

Switch off the appliance.
u
Pull out mains plug or switch off fuse.

Danger of fire

Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

Empty the appliance.
u
Pull out the power plug.
u
Observe the notes on appliance transport.
