Go to https://support.lenovo.com/partslookup to look up the Lenovo part numbers of the following
replacement parts:
Fingerprint reader
Fingerprint reader cable
Remove the system board
Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
“Remove the lower case” on page 28
“Remove the memory module and shielding” on page 29
“Remove the solid-state drive and thermal pad” on page 35
“Remove the heat sink” on page 39
“Remove the system fan” on page 42
“Remove the Wi-Fi card” on page 45
“Remove the coin-cell battery” on page 48
Step 1. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board and remove two screws that secure the right
hinge.
