Rear fan
Prerequisite
Before you start, read Generic Safety and Compliance Notices, and print the following instructions.
For access, do the following:
1. Remove the power cord. See “Power cord” on page 46.
2. Remove the computer cover. See “Computer cover” on page 48.
3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
Removal step
Note: Elongate the rubber that fixes the fan to disengage it from the chassis.
Microprocessor
Prerequisite

4. Remove the microprocessor heatsink and fan assembly. See “Microprocessor heatsink and fan
assembly” on page 57.
