Remove the CMOS battery
Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
“Remove the lower case” on page 29
“Remove the battery pack” on page 30
Step 1. Disconnect the CMOS battery cable from the system board (1) and remove the CMOS battery (2).

Go to https://support.lenovo.com/partslookup to look up the Lenovo part numbers of the following
replacement part:
CMOS battery
Remove the touchpad bracket
Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
“Remove the lower case” on page 29
“Remove the battery pack” on page 30
Step 1. Release the speakers cable from the cable guide (1).
