Installation of the cooker hood
Notes on the exhaust air ducting to the air outlet
ATTENTION!
Risk of malfunction!
An inadequately constructed, unfavourably routed
or shaped exhaust air line can significantly impair
the function of the appliance!
Follow the instructions in this section carefully,
to avoid problems such as reduced extraction perfor-
mance, noise development or increased running noise,
grease deposits or condensate formation!
Make sure that the following conditions for proper
exhaust air ducting up to the air outlet can be guaranteed:
• The entire exhaust air pipe must be made of non-combustible
material and must not be routed through a duct together with
gas or hot air pipes or similar.
• The exhaust air duct should have the following properties:
• As short and straight route as possible
with few bends and large radii (max. bend 120°)
• Inner diameter or inner cross-section min. 150 mm
(if applicable incl. wall box)
• Round or rounded cross-section
(e.g. round ducts or flat ducts with rounded corners)
• Smooth surfaces on the inside
• Even course without constrictions or blockages
(e.g. fly screens, rigid blades at the air outlet)
• If the exhaust air duct is laid horizontally, a minimum
gradient of 1 cm per meter or an angle of inclination of 2°
must be maintained in order to avoid the return of condensa-
tion water (see illustration).
