Operating Principle and Use of the Appliance
Recirculation mode
In recirculation mode, the metal and fleece filters remove
grease and vapours from the intake air and return it to the room.
The pre-installed activated carbon filter fleece is also used
for odour control, particularly in recirculation mode.
Operationwithactivecarbonfilter
The activated carbon fleece filter cleans the air
pre-filtered by the metal filter even more thoroughly
and removes odour particles produced during cooking.
Follow the recommendations for use in this manual
for optimum odour absorption.
Depending on the technical measures taken to convert
the appliance (see "Preparing the appliance..."
under "Installation preparation..."), the filtered exhaust air
is either fed back into the room via the exhaust air slots
on the front edge of the top of the appliance (1),
or via the exhaust air opening with exhaust air connection piece
on the rear edge of the top of the appliance (2),
if necessary via the interior of the furniture above /
through an exhaust air hose.
The connection to an exhaust air duct is not required
during installation.
If the cooker hood is used in recirculation mode,
the amount of room air remains unchanged
and there is no negative pressure in the room.
Simultaneous operation of a room-air dependent fireplace
or appliances is harmless.
