Installation of the cooker hood
8.2 Choice of the mounting surface
Your cooker hood model is intended for installation
under a wall cabinet or a comparable piece of furniture
or it can also be mounted on a wall.
Note the following information for this:
• For optimum extraction performance, make sure that the appliance
can be installed in a position centred above the cooktop.
• Check the dimensions of the furniture or the mounting surface,
taking into account the following section,
to ensure that the appliance can be installed.
• Check the material of the mounting surface
to which the appliance is to be attached
for load-bearing capacity and strength
with regard to the weight of the appliance
and the required preparation
and only use suitable mounting material.
Notes:
• The screws and plastic dowels supplied
are intended for solid masonry
or for standard kitchen furniture or comparable furniture.
If necessary, replace them according to the substrate!
• For wall mounting, make sure that the required
drill hole depth (dowel length + 10 mm) is possible
at the selected location
in order to ensure a firm hold of the dowels.
• Check the mounting surface for unevenness
and level it out if necessary.
The mounting surface must be level and vertical (for wall mounting)
or horizontal (for under-cabinet mounting).
• If possible, ensure that the appliance is easily accessible during
and after installation, e.g. for cleaning and maintenance.
