• There is a risk of electric shock, fire and injury
if the appliance is repaired, modified or serviced
by unqualified persons!
These may only be carried out by a suitably qualified
specialist in compliance with all applicable safety
regulations, including the instructions in this manual
and the appliance must be disconnected from the
power supply for this purpose!
Never attempt to make changes to appliance com-
ponents, cables or plugs by yourself and do not
disassemble any parts of the appliance if this is not
expressly instructed in this manual!
Only open the housing if this is described in the con-
text of assembly and cleaning!
• If the cooker hood and room air-dependent fire-
places or appliances are operated simultaneously
with exhaust air, insufficient supply air can cause a
negative pressure, drawing smoke and toxic com-
bustion gases from chimneys or exhaust air shafts
back into the living rooms!
In this case there is a danger to life!
Always ensure that there is a sufficient supply of
fresh air when the cooker hood is in exhaust air
mode! Follow the notes and instructions in the instal-
lation chapter!
