Installation of the cooker hood
8.2 Choosing the mounting position
• For optimum extractor performance, select a position
of the appliance in the center above the cooktop.
• Check the route of electrical cables, pipes, etc. in the installation
environment to avoid drilling into them during installation.
• If possible, select the installation position so that the appliance
is easily accessible during and after installation, e.g. for cleaning
and maintenance.
• For recirculation mode, follow the corresponding instructions
under "... installation requrirements" in the section "Notes for
recirculation mode".
Mounting surface / substrate
• Check the desired mounting surface for load-bearing capacity
and strength with regard to the weight of the hood
and only use suitable mounting material.
Notes:
• The screws and plastic dowels supplied
are intended for solid masonry.
If necessary, replace them according to the substrate,
as described under "Mounting...".
• Make sure that the required drill hole depth
(dowel length + 10 mm) is possible at the selected
location in order to ensure a firm hold of the dowels.
• Check the mounting surface for unevenness
and level it out if necessary.
The mounting surface must be level and vertical.
