CHARGING TIPS
◆ Usingthetransceiverwhilechargingitsbatterypackwillinterferewithcorrectcharging.
◆ Iftheoperatingtimeofabatterypackdecreasesalthoughthebatterypackisfullyandcorrectly
charged, the battery pack life is over. Replace the battery pack.
◆ Theambienttemperatureshouldbefrom0°Cto40°Cwhilechargingisinprogress.Whenthe
ambienttemperatureisintheupperlimits(closeto40°C),thechargingtimemaybecomelongerthan
normal.
◆ Ifthebatterypackcontactsarenotproperlymatedwiththechargerterminals,theindicatormay
flashing red or may remain unlit. To resolve this problem, reinsert the battery pack after cleaning the
battery pack contacts and the charger terminals.
◆ Ni-MHOnly:Repeatedlyrechargingafullychargedbatterypack,oralmostfullychargedpack,
shortens its operating time. To resolve this problem, use the pack until it is completely discharged, 1
V/cell x 6 then recharge the pack to full capacity.
◆ Thebatterylifeincharge/dischargecyclesisapproximately300.However,overchargingand
excessive discharging shortens the battery pack life.
◆ Whenusingthisequipmentneararadio,transceiverortelevision,youmayexperienceinterference
with reception.
