8. Adjustment of drawing amount of upper feed roller
(1) Drawing amount of upper feed roller
The standard amount of draw for the upper feed roller

is
defi ned to cause a slight pulling force for the sewing length
(8 stitches/inch) of the feed dog.
The clutch connecting lever

and the clutch set

are
connected. The amount of draw for the material cloth
can be changed by moving the clutch connecting rod

vertically.
Loosen the nut

, tighten the nut

after adjusting the clutch connecting rod

vertically.

When the clutch connecting rod

is raised, the amount of draw for the material cloth is increased.

When the clutch connecting rod

is lowered, the amount of draw for the material cloth is decreased.

1. If the amount of draw for the upper feed roller

is too much in conjunction with the sewing feed
amount, the number of stitches is increased.
2. If the amount of draw for the upper feed roller
1
is too less, sewing problem occurs and this is a
cause of feed error. In particular, this problem occurs around the hinged section.
WARNING :
Perform the work after turning OFF the power to prevent accidents caused by the abrupt start of the
sewing machine.
