Installation Guidelines
Qualification: Only qualified individuals should install this fixture.
Compliance: Installation must comply with all local, national, and international commercial
electrical and construction codes and regulations.
Support Structure: The trussing or installation area must support at least 10 times the weight of
the fixture and any attached accessories without deformation.
Safety Attachments: The unit must be secured with a secondary safety attachment, such as an
appropriately-rated safety cable.
Professional Consultation: Before mounting the fixture to any metal truss/structure or placing it
on any surface, consult a professional equipment installer to ensure the structure or surface can
safely support the combined weight of the fixture, clamps, cables, and accessories.
Operating Temperature: The maximum ambient operating temperature is 140°F (60°C).
Placement: Install fixtures away from walking paths, seating areas, or locations where
unauthorized personnel might reach them.
Safety Precautions: Never stand directly below the fixture when rigging, removing, or servicing it.
Overhead Installation: Overhead installations must always be secured with a secondary safety
attachment, such as an appropriately rated safety cable that can hold at least 10 times the weight
of the fixture.
Experience Required: Overhead mounting requires extensive experience, including calculating
working load limits, understanding the installation material, and periodically inspecting all
installation materials and the fixture itself. If you lack these qualifications, do not attempt the
installation yourself.
Annual Inspection: The installation should be checked by a skilled professional once a year.
Safety Cable
Always attach a safety cable when installing this fixture in a suspended environment. This
precaution ensures that the fixture will not fall if the clamp fails.
Potential Internal Damage from External Light Sources
Exposure to external sources such as direct sunlight, other lighting fixtures, moving head units,
and lasers can cause significant internal damage to JMAZ lighting fixtures. This includes potential
harm to optics, dichroic color filters, gobos (both glass and metal), prisms, animation wheels, frost
filters, irises, shutters, motors, belts, wiring, discharge lamps, and LEDs. Such damage is not
exclusive to JMAZ fixtures but is a common risk with lighting equipment from all manufacturers.
