Adjusting the Needle Drop Position
Press the stitch width adjustment keys to adjust the
needle drop position.
Press the “+” key to move the needle drop positions to
the left.
Press the “–” key to move the needle drop positions to
the right.
The needle drop position will change, while the stitch
width remains consistent.
The distance between the left needle drop position and
guide of the foot is indicated in millimeters.

Use a light weight fabric (tricot, for example).

Fold the fabric as shown and stitch on the fold.
(1) Bias direction

Allow the needle to barely clear the folded edge to
create a shelled edge. You may need to increase the
needle thread tension.

If you sew rows of shell tucks, space the rows at least
1.5 cm (5/8˝

apart. You can also sew shell tucks on
knits or soft silky woven fabrics in any direction.
