This stitch is used for mending tears.

Zigzag stitches are used for various sewing needs
including overcasting. These stitches can be used on
most woven fabrics.
A dense zigzag stitch can also be used for applique.

NOTE:
U8 is used for variable zigzag sewing (refer to
page 63).
NOTE:
Adjust the stitch length to 0.30-0.50 with the stitch
length adjustment keys.
