Machine settings
(1) Stitch pattern: U1
(2) Presser foot: Zigzag foot A
(3) Thread tension: 2-6
(4) Foot pressure: 4-6
Straight Stitches
Patterns U1 to U5 are straight stitches for seaming.
Press the pattern selection key for the desired stitch.
Starting to sew
Place the fabric next to the seam guide line on the needle
plate. Lower the needle to the point where you want to
start.
Pull the needle thread towards the rear and lower the
foot.

Sewing from the Edge of Thick Fabric
The black button on the zigzag foot locks the foot in the
horizontal position.
This is helpful when you start sewing from extreme edge
of thick fabrics or sewing across a hem.
1.
Lower the needle into the fabric at the point where
you wish to start sewing.
2.
Lower the foot while pushing the black button in.
The foot is locked in the horizontal position to avoid
slipping.

Pull the needle thread to the left when using satin
stitch foot F or automatic buttonhole foot R.
