ammable refrigerants: the size of the charge conforms to the

size of the room where the parts containing refrigerant are

installed; machines and ventilation openings are functioning

properly and are not blocked; if an indirect refrigerant circuit is

used, the secondary circuit must be checked to verify the presence

of refrigerant; the marking on the equipment continues to be

visible and legible. Illegible markings and signs must be corrected;

refrigeration pipe or components are installed in a position where

it is unlikely that they will be exposed to any substance that can

corrode components containing refrigerant, unless the latter are

constructed with materials that are intrinsically resistant to being

corroded or adequately protected.

9) Control of electrical devices

Repair and maintenance of electrical components must include

initial safety checks and component inspection procedures. If

there is a fault that could compromise safety, do not connect any

electrical power to the circuit until it is satisfactorily addressed.

If the fault cannot be corrected immediately but it is necessary

to continue the operation, a suitable interim solution must be

used. This must be reported to the owner of the equipment, so

all parties are advised. Initial safety checks must include: that the

capacitors are discharged: this must be done safely to avoid the

possibility of sparks; that there are no live electrical components

and exposed cables while charging, recovering or purging the

system; that there is continuity in the earth connection.
