Ecological R290 is used as the refrigerant. R290 has no harmful
effect on the ozone layer (ODP) or the greenhouse effect (GWP) and
is marketed all over the world. Due to its energy efcient properties,
R290 is very suitable as a refrigerant for this device. However, special
precautions must be taken due to the high ammability of this coolant.
FOR SAFETY REASONS ALWAYS OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING
• The unit is only designed for use with R-290 (propane) gas as the
designated refrigerant.
• The refrigerant circulation process is sealed. It can only be checked
and repaired by a qualied technician!
• Do not discharge the refrigerant into the atmosphere.
• R-290 (propane) is ammable and heavier than air.
• The propane gas used in the unit has no smell.
• The lack of odor does not mean that the gas cannot be escaped.
• If a leak is detected, evacuate all people from the room immediately,
ventilate the room, and contact the local re department to advise
them that a propane leak has occurred.
• Do not let anyone back into the room until the qualied service
technician arrives and wait until this technician has advised that it
is safe to return to the room.
• Do not use open ames, cigarettes or other possible sources of
ignition in or near the device.
• The components are designed for the use of propane and are
spark-proof to prevent re or damage. Component parts should
only be replaced with suitable repair parts. FAILURE TO COMPLY
WITH THIS WARNING COULD RESULT IN EXPLOSION, DEATH,
INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.
