Tips for the installation of the exhaust pipe
The following rules must be strictly followed to obtain optimum air extraction:
- Keep the expansion tube short and straight.
- Do not reduce the size or restrict the expansion tube.
- When using the expansion tube, always install it taut to minimize pressure loss.
- Failure to follow these basic instructions will reduce performance and increase fume hood noise levels.
- Any installation work must be carried out by a qualied electrician or competent person.
-Do not connect the hood duct system to any existing ventilation system being used for any other
appliance, such as a heater pipe, gas pipe or hot air pipe.
-The angle of the expansion pipe bend must not be less than 120°; you must route the pipe horizontally,
or, alternatively, the pipe must rise from the starting point and must be routed to an outside wall.
-After installation, make sure that the fume hood is level to avoid grease accumulation at one end.
-Ensure that the expansion pipe selected for installation complies with the relevant standards and is
reproof.
