Attaching the sink
For a recessed sink, make sure the gasket or silicone is pressed tight-
ly against the countertop. Once it has adhered, wipe off the excess
with your nger for a cleaner nish.
For undermount or ush sinks, use staples and tighten them securely
with a screwdriver. This will help prevent leaks.
There are also versatile sink models that allow for different types of
installation. In that case, choose the option that best suits the style
and design of your kitchen.
Installing the drain
Now it’s time to attach the valve, which is the rst part of the drain
system and sits just under the sink bowl.
Most come with their own sealing system, but if not, a little silicone
will prevent leaks. Connect the overow pipe to the valve without loo-
sening it, and get everything ready to attach both pieces.

Hold the valve in place while securing it with its screw. It must be tight
to prevent water from escaping. If the sink has an overow, secure it
with its corresponding screw.
Proper installation of the valve is key to avoiding clogs, but it is also
important to use the sink properly.
