Cooktop Cooking Zones
The burner areas of the ceramic cooktop.
Using the Ceramic Cooktop
Initial Use or After Disuse:
• When using an electric hotplate for the first time
or after a long period of disuse, turn the knob to 1
and let it heat for about 20 minutes to eliminate any
possible moisture absorbed by the internal insulating
material.
• Dry the bottom of the pan before placing it on the
hotplate.
• Turn the hotplate on only after placing the pan on it.
• The hotplate is controlled by a commutator. Turn the
knob until position 1 to turn the hotplate on (Fig.1).
A warning light on the control panel will inform you if
the plate is on or o.
It is important to adhere to these instructions for safe
and ecient use of the electric hotplate.

Using the Extended Zones
The front left and the middle zones are controlled
by an energy regulator.
• To activate the first zone, rotate the knob between
1 to 6.
• To activate the second extended zone, rotate the
knob past the number 6 (Fig.1) to the extended zone
indicator or .
• To return to single zone operation, reset the knob
to zero then to the number required.
