Symbol Meaning
This symbol indicates danger.
Protection class II
Electrical devices that fall under protection
class II have reinforced or double insulation
to the amount of the rated insulation vol-
tage between active and accessible parts
(VDE 0100 part 410, 412.1). They usually
have no connection to the protective con-
ductor. Even if they have conductive surfa-
ces, they are protected from contact with
other live parts by reinforced or double
insulation.
Products labelled with this symbol meet the
requirements of the guidelines of the Euro-
pean Community.
Devices with this symbol may only be ope-
rated indoors in a dry environment.
