TIMER (DELAY) BUTTON
• When the unit is running, press this button to program a time when the unit will
automatically turn o. Use the +/- buttons to change the air conditioners display
to determine the delay (in hours) until the unit will shut down in 1 hour incre-
ments. Press the DELAY button again to confirm the shut down command.
• If the unit is o and you want it to turn on in a certain amount of time, program it
in the same way as above.
• To cancel a timer, press the DELAY button to see remaining time before the timer
activates. Press the DELAY button again to cancel the timer.
Note: Timers can be set between the range of 1 - 24 hours. The unit must remain plugged in
for the timer to function properly.
REMOTE CONTROL LOCK
1. Press and hold the + and - buttons simultaneously to activate the remote control
child lock and prevent inadvertent changes to unit settings.
2. Press the + and - buttons simultaneously to deactivate the remote control lock.
CHANGE TEMPERATURE UNITS (C° OR F°)
1. While the unit is o, press the - and MODE button simultaneously to change the
unit readout temperature between Celsius (C°) and Fahrenheit (F°).
REPLACING THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT BATTERIES
1. Press gently on the tab located on the back side of the remote control unit. Li out
the battery compartment cover.
2. Replace the batteries with two AAA 1.5v batteries. Insert batteries while respecting
the polarity of the batteries (+ and - sides). Replace both batteries at the same
time; never insert an old battery with a fresh battery to avoid a battery leak.
3. Gently reinsert the battery compartment cover.
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION NOTES
• When using the remote control, aim the controller directly at the air conditioning
units IR receiver located on the control panel.
• The remote control must have a clear line of sight to the control panel.
• Interference to remote control operation may occur in areas with fluorescent light-
ing or wireless telephones.
• When the remote control will remain unused for long periods of time, please re-
move the batteries.
