Step 2
Install the Deadbolt Latch
Check whether the latch needs to be adjusted.
•
For a 2-3/8" (60 mm) backset, directly insert the latch into the hole.
•
For a 2-3/4" (70 mm) backset, rotate the faceplate of the latch 180 degrees to
extend its length.
Inset the latch into the designated hole with the TOP mark on the latch facing up.
Secure the latch with No. J screws and ensure the faceplate ushes with the door
edge.
