This safety function turns off a cooking area that is unchanged after a certain period of time.
Table of switch-off times:

Boost function
The Boost function can be used to provide extra power in a cooking area for 5 minutes.
This function is useful when boiling large quantities of water.
Activation:
- Select one of the cooking areas.
- Press “+” until it reaches level “9”.
- Press again to set the Boost function
- The corresponding digit will display .
The Boost function is programmed to last for 5 minutes.
Deactivation:
- Select one of the cooking areas with the Boost function active.
- Press “-”.
It will also deactivate automatically after 5 minutes
