ly soiled items. The energy consumption decrea‐
ses and the time of the washing programme is ex‐
tended, ensuring good washing results.
According to Commission Regulation EU
2019/2023, this programme at 40 °C is able to
clean normally soiled cotton laundry declared to
be washable at 40 °C or 60 °C, together in the
same cycle.

The most ecient programmes in
terms of energy consumption are gen‐
erally those that perform at lower tem‐
peratures and longer duration.
