3 Intended use
• Condition monitoring on machines and systems by detecting condition indicators (vibrations and
surface temperature)
• Parameter setting and process value transfer to an IO-Link master and thus indirectly to a machine
controller (e.g. PLC) via the IO-Link interface or to an IT infrastructure via MQTT / REST API
• Asynchronous reading of raw data (time signal) or a characteristic value history (BLOB - Binary
Large Object)
3.1 Article versions
Four articles are available, which essentially differ in terms of the IO-Link process data flow and the
unit in the IO-Link process data flow.
Article number Properties
VVB301
Basic condition monitoring
The process data flow consists of 5 process values with configurable measure-
ment axes.
The IO-Link process data flow has 16 bytes.
Transmission units: m/s, m/s² and °C.
VVB302
DataScience condition monitoring
The process data flow consists of 13 process values with fixed axis parame-
ters.
The IO-Link process data flow has 32 bytes.
Transmission units: m/s, m/s² and °C.
VVB305
Basic condition monitoring
The process data flow consists of 5 process values with configurable measure-

Transmission units: mm/s, mg und °C.
