u For use according to 3-A, take note of the corresponding regulations for cleaning and
maintenance.
u Ensure that the installation of the device in the system complies with 3-A guidelines.
u Use only process adapters with 3-A certification and marked with the 3-A symbol (Ò Accessories
at www.ifm.com).
u Secure clamp sensors with a suitable clamp.
u Use self-draining installation.
u To allow the medium to flow out of the process adapter, mount the device in the following
installation position:
• Vertical installation in a rising pipe (A).
- or –
• Horizontal position with a slight gradient so that the medium does not come to a standstill (B).
