6.3.2 Use according to 3-A
Ensure that the installation of the device in the system complies with 3-A guidelines.
Use only process adapters with 3-A certification and marked with the 3-A symbol (

).
6.3.3 Use according to EHEDG
In case welded adapters are used, the food contact surface must be smooth (surface rough-
ness Ra < 0.8 µm) and the welding has to be done according to EHEDG Guideline 9 and 35.
EHEDG conformity applies to the installation of the ifm components sensor and process adapt-
er including the seal. If the ifm sensor is installed using existing adapters, the customer must
check whether EHEDG-compliant integration is guaranteed.
Ensure that the installation of the unit in the system complies with EHEDG.
Only use process adapters permitted according to EHEDG with special seals required by the EHEDG
position paper.
6.4 Rotate display
The display can be rotated for better readability.
As the display housing is very tight, increased force is required.
Manually turn the display housing left to the desired position. Use a work glove if necessary.
