6.2 General wiring information
u Disconnect power.
u Connect the terminals to the device.
u Wire the terminals.
The external wiring has to be carried out in a way that ensures the required separation from other
circuits.
For use in USA and Canada: voltage supply according to class 2
Do not apply external voltage to the outputs.
WARNING
Use of unconnected terminals
w Electric shock possible.
u Do not use unconnected terminals (n.c.) which are not shown in the drawing as support
point terminals.
w Protection guaranteed.
6.3 Notes on wiring
Maximum length of the connection cables:
• For inputs / outputs: 30 m
• For IO-Link communication: 20 m
Provide all outgoing cables with suitable strain relief after a maximum of 200 mm.
Observe the minimum bending radius of the cables (Ò information from the cable manufacturer).
