4 Function
4.1 Visual indication
The device displays the following indications:
• Status and error indication of the PROFINET gateway and the system
• Status and activity indication of the Ethernet connections
• Status of the voltage supplies US and UA
• Status and error indication of the sensor and actuator ports
4.2 Parameter setting
The device can be configured using the following options:
• Parameter setting software
– ifm moneo OS + ifm moneo|configure
– ifm moneo|configure free
• ifm IoT Core
– IoT-Core Visualizer
• PROFINET
– Projection software
4.3 Inputs
Ports X5...X8 each have 2 digital inputs (type 2 according to EN61131-3).
The digital inputs are connected to pins 2 and 4 of the ports.
4.4 Outputs
Ports X1...X4 each have 2 digital outputs.
The digital outputs are connected to pins 2 and 4 of the ports.
A digital output can be switched either by a switching signal channel or by a fieldbus application.
4.5 Digital input filters
The device pre-processes the digital input signals at ports X5...X8. The filter result is forwarded as a
process value and as an input signal for a counter module.
The following filters can be applied to the digital input signals in the sequence specified.
1. Debounce
2. Hold
3. Invert
