In the [Acyclic Enhanced] operating mode, the following options are also possible for each output:
• For the PWM output:
– [OFF] = 0% duty cycle
– [ON] = 100% duty cycle
– [KEEP LAST] = last valid duty cycle
• For the PWM-I output:
– [OFF] = 0 mA (0% duty cycle)
– [ON] = I

– [KEEP LAST] = last valid requested current (PID control)
4.3 Electrical isolation of the voltage supply
The voltage supply of the ports (UA and UAi) is electrically isolated from the voltage supply of the IO-
Link master (US).
An electrical connection between US and UA/UAi eliminates the electrical isolation. This can
lead to increased interference in the IO-Link communication.
4.4 Parameter setting
IO Device Description (IODD) with all parameters and process data of the unit can be found at
documentation.ifm.com.
4.5 Inputs/ outputs
The device has 8 ports (X1.0...X1.7).
Each port has 2 inputs/outputs, which can operate in the following 9 modes:
