Input Assembly (Instance 100) (Ò/98)
Input Assembly (Instance 101) (Ò/99)
Input Assembly (Instance 102) (Ò/100)
Available information:
Status indication supply voltage US of the device
Short-circuit / overload indication of the IO-Link ports
Port Qualifier Information (PQI) of the IO-Link ports
Requirements:
ü The device has been added to the project.
u In the [Controller Organizer]: double-click on the [Controller Tags] node.
w The [Controller Tags] window appears.
w The structure [AL1x2x.I] > [AL1x2x.I:Data] contains the diagnostic and status information.
u If required: link the diagnostic and status information with the application variables.
u Save the project.
In addition, the diagnostic and status information of the CIP object classes of the device can be read
acyclically, Using acyclic services (Ò/82).
9.4.5 Accessing IO-Link devices
The device supports access to the connected IO-Link devices from the application. The Indexed
Service Data Unit (ISDU) is used to access the parameters, process data, diagnostics and status
information. Each data object of an IO-Link device can be addressed via index and subindex.
The available data objects depend on the IO-Link device, Ò IODD description of the IO-Link device.
Available access options:
1. Via the acyclic command channel within the cyclic process data, Acyclic command channel
(Ò/107)
2. Via the manufacturer-specific CIP object class IO-Link Request, IO-Link Request Object (Class
Code: 0x80) (Ò/125)
The following services are available for accessing the IO-Link Request object class:
Service Description Reference
Read ISDU Read ISDU object
Read ISDU (Ò/126)
Write ISDU Write ISDU object
Write ISDU (Ò/128)
Write Failsafe Pattern Setting the fail-safe values for the outputs
Write Failsafe Pattern (Ò/130)
9.4.6 Accessing IO-Link events
The device supports the transmission of up to 3 IO-Link events per port. The IO-Link events are
mapped in the cyclic input data.
Position of the IO-Link events in the cyclic input data: Input Assembly (Instance 100) (Ò/98)
To access IO-Link:
Requirements:
ü Operating mode of the port is IO-Link.
ü The IO-Link device is connected to the port.
ü Top-Down mode: [Explicit Owner IO-Acyc-Diag] is set as the active connection type.
