AL1921 IO-Link master with EtherNet/IP interface

• Configuration Assembly (Instance 199) (Ò/95)
Available parameters:
• Access rights
• Length of the process data
• Operating mode of the IO-Link ports (pin 4)
• Cycle time of the data transmission of the IO-Link ports
• Device validation and data storage
• Device ID and manufacturer ID of the IO-Link devices
• Fail-safe mode for IO-Link output data of the IO-Link ports
• Fail-safe value for digital output data of the IO-Link ports
The parameters can be accessed via the Controller Tags.
Requirements:
ü The device is integrated into the project.
u In the [Controller Organizer]: double-click on the [Controller Tags.] node.
w The [Controller Tags] window appears.
w The structure [AL1x2x.C] > [AL1x2x.C:Data] contains the parameters.

u Set the parameters.
u Save the project.
w The device configuration has been created.
Transferring the configuration to the device
To transfer the configuration to the device:
Requirements:
ü The project is open.
ü The device has been added to the project using the EDS.
ü The device has been configured.
u Select [Communications] > [Download].
w RSLogix 5000 loads the project to the controller.
w The configuration is saved on the device and activated.
w The control changes to Run Mode.
To test the connection to the device:
u In Controller Organizer: double-click on Controller Tags.
w The variable [AL1x2x:I] > [AL1x2x:I.ConnectionFaulted] shows the connection status.
• 0: connection to the device OK
• 1: connection to the device not OK
9.4.2.2 Independent mode
In the configuration mode “Independent mode”, the device is configured via the parameter setting
software or the ifm IoT Core. The device settings are not overwritten when a connection is established
to the EtherNet/IP controller. The settings of the Configuration Assembly Object are ignored.
