Problem Possible Cause Solution
Motor not running
Power failure/unit is not plugged
into a working socket.
Check to make sure the
unit is plugged into a
working outlet. Check the
extension cable is not
damaged.
The overload protection has
been activated.
Remove possible debris.
Follow the Restart
Procedure (Page 22).
The main unit’s cover is open. Check to ensure the
cover is secure. Turn the
housing clockwise to
tighten.
The collection box is not pushed
into the right position.
Check to ensure the
collection box is pushed
right to the back and the
collection box latch has
been locked properly.
Garden waste not
being pulled in
The material has jammed in the
inlet chute.
Switch off the machine
and disconnect from
power supply. Open the
main unit cover and
remove the debris from
affected area.
Cutting blades are blocked Switch off the machine,
disconnect from power
supply and open main
unit cover. Remove the
blade cover, clear debris
and remount the blade
cover.
Shredding material in ejection
chute
Switch off the machine
and disconnect from
power supply. Remove
debris from the ejection
chute.
Machine is not
shredding to its
optimum
Blades are worn Refer to Blade
Replacement procedure
on Page 25.
