Restart Procedure
!
WARNING! In the event of needing to remove a blockage from the blades
within the main unit or from the inlet chute, a full restart will be required.
!
WARNING! NEVER attempt to remove a blockage or perform maintenance with
the motor still running and connected to the power source.
1. Press the switch marked ‘O’ to stop the shredder’s motor.
2. Disconnect the plug from the power supply.
3. Turn the housing lock anti-clockwise to open the main unit.
4. Remove the debris/blockage from affected area.
5. Close main unit. Turn the housing lock clockwise to the lock the main unit back
in place.
6. To restart the shredder, reconnect the plug to the power supply.
7. Press the switch to the ‘I’ position to restart the motor.
!
IMPORTANT: This shredder is fitted with a built-in safety switch. If the main unit’s
cover has not been adequately secured by tightening the housing lock, the
shredder will not start. Ensure the housing lock has been tightened before starting
the machine.
