Checklist before first journey of the vehicle
Observe the following instructions before first journey
of the vehicle:
Re-tighten the wheel nuts/wheel bolts after 50 km (30 miles).
Read the instruction manual to avoid personal and material dam-
age.
Observe the following instructions before each
journey of the vehicle:
Check the tyre pressures.
See Tyre pressure section.
Load the vehicle correctly. Observe the technically permissible
maximum laden mass.
See Payload section.
Fully charge batteries before each journey.
See Starter battery and Living area battery sections.
In case of external temperatures below 0 °C first heat vehicle,
then fill water system.
See Water supply/Filling the water tank section.
Gas bottles are only to be transported within the designated gas
bottle compartment.
Keep forced ventilations clear.
See Skylights and Ventilation sections.
Before filling the vehicle with fuel switch off gas-operated appli-
ances.
If there is any risk of frost, observe the following
instructions:
If there is any risk of frost, always heat the vehicle.
See Heater section.
If the vehicle is not being used when there is risk of frost, empty
the entire water system. Make sure that the 12 V power supply on
the panel is switched off. Otherwise, the water pump will over-
heat and may get damaged. Leave the water taps on in central
position. Leave all drain cocks open. This will avoid frost damage
to appliances and to the vehicle.
