If ignition has not been successful, repeat the entire procedure. If nec-
essary, check if there is gas and/or current in the gas grill.
If the gas grill still does not work, close the gas isolator tap and notify
an authorised service centre.
If the burner flame is accidentally extinguished, turn the control knob
to the "0" position and and leave the burner off for at least 1 minute.
Then ignite it again.
Before using the gas grill for the first time, run it empty for 20 minutes at
maximum power. This will remove any manufacturing residue. This can
result in the formation of non-toxic smoke. Open all windows and venti-
late well.
◼ Open the regulator tap on the gas bottle and the gas isolator tap
"Cooker".
◼ Open the flap of the gas grill to the fully open position.
◼ Press the control knob (Fig. 129) and turn it in an anticlockwise direction
to the ignition position (large flame).
◼ For models with automatic ignition: press the lighting knob until the
flame burns (for a maximum of 15 seconds).
◼ For models without automatic ignition: hold a burning match or gas
lighter to the burner.
◼ Once the flame is burning, keep the control knob pressed for another 10
to 15 seconds, until the thermocouple automatically keeps the gas sup-
ply open.
◼ Release the control knob and turn to the desired setting.
◼ If lighting is unsuccessful, turn the control knob to the 0 position, release
it, wait 1 minute and repeat the process from the beginning.
◼ Turn the control knob in a clockwise direction to the 0 position. The
flame fades.
◼ Close the gas isolator tap "Cooker" and the regulator tap on the gas bot-
tle.
