6. Pull out the output tray extender.
To load legal paper
1. Open the input tray.
2. Press and hold the button on the paper-width guide, and then slide the guides to the edges of the tray.
3. Extend the input tray.
NOTE: Printer models with an open input tray do not require the input tray to be extended.
a. Press and hold the button on the front edge of the input tray and extend the tray.
b. For printer models with a removable tray cover (dust cover), press the buttons at the bottom of the
tray towards you to release and remove the cover.
After printing is done, remember to reinsert the cover.
